Kyle is doing better! He is moving his arms and legs, and the surgery to remove fragments in his lungs from the explosion was successful. Most of the damage was to the right side of his head, apparently, but he also squeezed someone's hand, which the doctor said, was a really promising sign for the potential extent of brain damage.
Last I heard, Kyle would be transported to Walter Read hospital today (maybe in the air now).
Please continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

please keep up the info on Kyle. thanks
Kyle and my daughter were high school friends and kept in touch after he enlisted. We visited Kyle in Hawaii in 2006 while he was stationed there. We took him out to dinner at the nicest restaurant on the North Shore. It was the least we could do for this sweet, brave young man. He was all smiles that night and took my daughter back to the base to meet his friends. I have thought of him often since then and prayed for his safe return. I just found out today about his injury and found your blog. Thank you so much for keeping us informed. I will share this link with my daughter and all of his friends from high school. I know they are eager to know how he is. God Bless him and help him through this.
