Speaking of Ellen, Portia has petitioned the court to legally change her name to Portia Lee James DeGeneres. Apparently, it's her 2nd anniversary gift to El. How sweet is that?

People magazine reports that it won't go into affect until the courts will hold a hearing in Sept.

The big news this week is that Meredith Baxter came out, after being on the Sweet Cruise that Lipstick & I were both on. Lipstick saw Meredith a couple of times on the ship and promised to write about it, but I know she's a little busy this week.

While we wait for that report, our friend Portia was on The View this morning talking about her relationship with Ellen and why the word marriage is so important. She really impressed me with how clearly she made her point. Go Portia!

According to fellow blogger Byron Beck, Portia de Rossi was in Portland this weekend. She came sans Ellen and was seen at the airport getting off a private jet.

Byron says, "By the looks of the outfit she was wearing it's safe to assume Portia was heading off to some swank affair in our fair city."

What swank affair? Obviously she wasn't at the lesbian baby shower and 1-year-old birthday parties I was at this weekend.

Not that these weren't fun, but jeeze, why I wonder why I wasn't invited to Portia's party. Especially with Ellen out of town, I would have been a smashing escort.

Not sure if you watch Ellen religiously, but in case you missed her show earlier this week when she shared their private wedding video and photos with her audience, you can catch a glimpse of it here. She got really emotional at one point and even danced with Portia. When Ellen said we get to see their second dance, she went into the audience and boogied down with Portia, which is cut from the first video. You can see it further below.

The photos from Ellen and Portia's wedding will soon hit newsstands. They gave an exclusive interview to People magazine about their blessed event. New details are sure to emerge, too, and I just read that Wayne Dyer (one of my all-time favorite authors and inspirers) officiated the ceremony. Lucky girls and lucky him. Apparently, all the guests sat on floor pillows while the couple exchanged Neil Lane rings and then sat down for an all-vegan menu.

I'm sure there was hummus!

Ellen and Portia Get Married

Ding dong the witch is dead. Oh wait, I meant ding dong Ellen and Portia are married! In an intimate ceremony last night, attended by 19 lucky souls, the two exchanged handwritten vows in their home. I hope they share the pictures with the rest of the world. It will surely get massive mainstream coverage and, considering how beloved Ellen is by even the straightest of straights, it could only do our community good.

Portia on Nip Tuck

Vava Vooom! Did you all see Portia on NIP/TUCK this week? Yikes! We recorded it and just watched it last night. Yummmmy. Even if you're not a NIP/TUCK fan, you should definitely watch this season as Julia (Joely Richardson) falls for Portia's character Olivia. No doubt there will be some juicy scenes, since NIP/TUCK is never one to takes the safe, PG road. Created/writer Ryan Murphy (who's also openly gay) is a genius.
