She's here in British Columbia for the Olympics!

You'll never believe this, but I spotted Jennifer today up in the mountains and she--of course--obliged in letting me take her picture.

It's so crazy how often I see her around this city. And Dipstick runs into her in Portland, too. J Beals must love the Pacific NW as much as we do.

I'll keep my eyes peeled for her out and about during the Olympics. You never know, I just might spot her again...

At the beach! Enjoying the last few days of this Indian summer.

I couldn't believe it when I ran past this woman sunbathing on the Spanish Banks yesterday.

I thought: that's funny, that is the same suit Jenny from the Block Kinkies had on last week.

Sho nuff, it was our girl. JB is used to the drill now and let me snap a quickie.

Where in the World is Jennifer Beals?

What are the odds of this? I was binding a manuscript at Kinkies this morning and there was Jennifer Beals AGAIN!

This time, she posed for a picture. She said she was happy to oblige as long as there is no more cannibalizing.

Apparently, Beals was headed to the beach, as it's going to be a beautiful day here in Vancouver (and that good ole' sunshine is fleeting in the NW).

L Word Comeback

Did you love the L Word? Have you always wanted to be on TV? Are you a lezzie? Do you live in LA? If you answered yes to all these questions, you'll have to check out Showtime's new reality show that just got the greenlight--The Real L Word: Los Angeles. This is no joke. Showtime announced it today.

The show will follow six LA-based lesbians in their daily lives. Just by looking at the title, I'm sure it will also morph into other cities, just like we've seen in the viral "Real Housewives" series.

It should be a hootenanny full of tanning salons, tall martinis and lots of dyke drama.

L Word Siting

So, Pattycake and I were having dinner last night at Trattoria and enjoying ourselves. We were laughing about something silly as we shared a bottle of Barbara when suddenly I caught someone I recognized out of the corner of my eye. I stopped, took another sip and looked closer, and wouldn't you know it was HELENA from the L Word eating a couple tables away with three guys.

The L Word is shooting here in Vancouver right now and I wondered if I might happen up one of the cast members. Well, lucky me--I got to run into one of my very favorite characters Rachel Shelley. I'm not the star struck type and I certainly would never have approached Rachel, but I'll have you know I did consider it for you guys so I could get a picture. I decided, instead, just to enjoy my meal and the backdrop and snap this completely unintelligible photo with my Crackberry as we were leaving. You can read an interview CURVE did with Rachel here.

And just FYI, she's just as hot in person without makeup. Smokin'!

I was asked by Curve magazine to interview Ilene Chaiken today. Ilene Chaiken created our favorite TV show, The L Word.
