We've Lost Kyle Daggett

For all of you who've been following my cousin, Kyle Daggett's, road since his devastating injury in Iraq earlier this month, I am very sad to say he passed away this morning in Nova Scotia. The infection in his body turned septic.

A very warm thank you to all who prayed, meditated and kept Kyle in their thoughts for the last couple weeks. The family and I are very appreciative of all the love and support.

Kyle was an amazing man and a strong, dedicated soldier who died doing what he loved. May he be in peace forever...

I am so sorry. I live near Ft Lewis and right now all the flags here are at half mast. It seems as if someone I know has a loved one over there, or has lost someone. My heart breaks, each time I learn of another one who has lost their life.

I was very sad to hear what happened earlier today. I have been thinking about Kyle ever since he was injured. I knew Kyle through my older brother, Matt Errico, who also passed away a few months ago. They graduated together and I became friends with Kyle through Matt bringing him over to our house. I have no doubt they are together in heaven, Matt will look after him. Kyle was always such a happy kid, and always made me smile when he came over. He changed my life in many ways. I know this is something hard to go through and how overwhelming the pain can get, as I had lost my brother also, and if I can do anything for your family my email is

aerrico92@yahoo.com.

I love you Kyle. Rest in peace.

I am so very sorry for your loss... I have been checking up daily on your blog and friends who get updated frequently as well. Kyle was such a happy person. Even with football, I can see he loved being with friends and doing what is special to him. The whole day just seemed surreal, I went to desert ridge to play pool so i can clear my head, and it was drizzling and cloudy. Even now, I just can't believe it. I was so wishing he would pull through.

I am so sorry... I knew Kyle from basic, SDM, and Airborne school and we were stationed in Hawaii together so we kept in touch as much as possible. The last time I saw him he and his team were working on a humvee and of course he took the time to shake my hand and say hello, and catch up on how I was doing. He will be missed... simply one of the best men I have had the pleasure of knowing while in the Army. I'm so sorry for the loss his family is feeling right now... may he rest in peace and honor.
